2/11 – Frankly Announces New Head of Advertising

Digital advertising leader Bill Ammerman joins Frankly from Tribune Media

SAN FRANCISCO , Feb. 11, 2016 /CNW/ – Frankly Inc., (the “Company”) (TLK.V) an integrated platform for brands and media companies to create, distribute, analyze and monetize their content across all of their digital experiences, announced today that William Ammerman will serve as the new Head of Advertising, based in New York , in charge of all advertising revenue and operations for Frankly, reporting into Louis Schwartz , COO for Frankly Inc.

Ammerman was previously Vice President of Programmatic and Data Driven Revenue at the multimedia corporation Tribune Media based in Chicago . His responsibilities included facilitating a data-driven revenue strategy, the execution of a programmatic direct ad sales solution, and cultivating revenue growth across the broadcast group of 42 television stations.  Ammerman also serves as on the IAB’s programmatic advertising committee.

Prior to his term at Tribune Media, Ammerman handled sales and marketing for digital properties as General Sales Manager for Capitol Broadcasting’s New Media Group. He also held the position of President of DVD Marketing and a Director of Integrated Marketing at Hearst Television.  Ammerman has managed over $80 million in digital media sales over his career.

In addition to his extensive working experience, he has won numerous awards including an Edward R. Murrow Award in 2010 for his team at WRAL.com. He is also the author of a master’s thesis at the University of North Carolina School of Media and Journalism on programmatic advertising from the publisher’s perspective.
